Phase 1 - Preliminary Site Investigation (PSI)
A PSI usually includes a desktop study to collect basic site information and identify the site characteristics such as the site location, land use, site layout, building construction, geological and hydrogeological setting, historical land use and activities at the site.
Orangrove Consulting has experienced staff to investigate historical sources of contamination when conducting a PSI site inspection and the necessary expertise to prepare the technical report.
Phase 2 - Detailed Site Investigation (DSI)
There is a requirement to conduct a DSI when the results of the PSI indicate that contamination is present or likely to be present and the information available is insufficient to enable site management strategies to be devised. The detailed investigation stage should identify the nature of the contamination and delineate its lateral and vertical extent to a sufficient degree that an appropriate level of risk assessment may be undertaken and, if necessary, provide the basis for the development of an appropriate remediation or management strategy.
Environmental Due Diligence
Orangrove Consulting can provide an environmental assessment prior to lease, purchase, acquisition or divestment to understand the risks and reduce the uncertainty of contamination at the site.
Baseline Environmental Site Assessment (ESA)
Undertaking a baseline ESA at a site can be used as a comparison to previous or future environmental assessment. The baseline ESA can provide information on whether an owner or lessee has negatively impacted the site through the introduction of contaminants.
